It's been almost a year since the second Titan War, and the campers at Camp Half-Blood are in high spirits. Since the war, they haven't had the need to send a single person on a quest and they've lost no more demigods to the monsters of the outside world. Their numbers have depleted greatly due to the fighting, but finally, a whole rush of new campers is coming in. Everyone's preparing for the celebration to be held on the one-year anniversary of the downfall of Kronos.
But we wouldn't have a story if things were that simple, now would we?
On the night of the celebration, Chiron never showed up. The campers later discovered why. Their centaur mentor received a message the morning of the one-year anniversary. It read, "Don't think your camp is in the clear yet, Ponyboy. Just wait until I'm through with it." There was no signature, no extra information, nothing.
Now, the camp in in disarray. Half the kids are wondering if they should take the threat seriously and the other half is preparing for war. Chiron is trying to calm down the kids as if the message never arrived, but things are out of his hands now. Campers are sneaking out of camp, getting into fights, training for battle, and even threatening Chiron themselves, claiming everything to be his fault. Will they ever find who sent the threat, or will the sender find them first?
